Two weeks ago, I received a playbook ( 64gb, wifi only model ) for Christmas from my wife and kids. I have been surfing the web using wifi with no problems until yesterday. All of a sudden, it won't connect to the internet using wifi. I have not changed any settings and I am able to use my laptop with the same wifi router with no problem. Anybody help with this ?

Did you try to delete the WiFi entry on the playbook and recreate it?

We have this now and again too. Select wifi settings, and reselect the network. You'll probably end up in the settings, just use save and connect.
Seems to be caused by turning off wifi.

If, for some reason, a few connection attempts fail in a row, the profile will be locked and needs to be manually reactivated.

This is indicated by an exclamation mark being added to the profile's icon in the WiFi settings -- just click it, and then "Connect", to try again -- you shouldn't need to reenter your password, although you are pretty much asked to.

Have you rebooted your Playbook? My PB will often lose its internet connection, even though it shows that it's connected to wifi, when I leave it in standby for a period of time. To fix this, I just go into settings and toggle "Airplane mode" on and off. When my PB reconnects to wifi, my internet connection will be back.

My "EASY" fix is turn Airplane mode ON for 15 seconds, then OFF again.

I had this problem a couple of times.
Like others have said, go into airplane mode temporarily, or try to connect again.
Both of these have worked for me.
