Bottom line is RIM has to sell off their inventory before they discontinue their Playbook device since we know they don't plan to R&D a new one, so why not throw more money they they are already losing at the problem?
Ok, but do your PB's change from portrait to landscape mode that quickly? I find that when I turn mine, it takes 3 or 4 seconds to switch. On the commercial, it showed her's switching as she turned the unit on it's side. I turn mine, and wait and wait, and start jiggling it to excite the G-sensor and wait some more....

In the ad, her screen started switching even before she changed the playbook's position! LOL
