My 9800 prompted me to update BBID first. Appworld on my phone didn't show any updates but logging into the Appworld website did. A refresh finally pulled it up.
Oddly, the update on the web shows .35 but .33 on the phone. I'm already on .30 so may not upgrade yet.
Same here. Shows upgrade available after refresh and upgrade all says ZERO to upgrade and when I try to do it manually the only option I have is DELETE. There is no UPGRADE or INSTALL to select. Running OS 7.1.0.402. Also tried rebooting the phone a couple of times...same result. Appworld says an upgrade is available but no way to actually get it to install.
took another half hour or so and the update now appears ready to install, have installed and restarting now ... as for blackberryID update, that happened to me last night and needed 2 restarts to finalize.
Is this update only for the phone? Just double-checking since usually when Bridge updates on the phones, there's usually also a Playbook update as well (at least as far as I can remember). I already got the OTA update on my phone (Curve 3G on T-Mobile) but I've had my PB on both wi-fi and Bluetooth and it says there are no updates.

There is no bridge app to update on the playbook...you will only see those on the phone.
SOMEtimes an update to Bridge for the phone precedes an OS update for the pb but not always. So an update for the OS could be "soon, around the corner, or by summer" or not come for a while.

We shall see....
Yes makes me miss the early days of the PlayBook sometimes when this was a clear guarantee that a PlayBook OS update was coming within 24hrs. Sadly, as you noted, this is no longer the case.
The last update .30 effected my bridge browsing capabilities. I had to use rroyy.com to downgrade to .25 to restore my bridge browsing again. I would try the upgrade but someone nicked my PB last week so I have no way to test.
I'm noticing some pretty significant changes in Options / Device / Application Management / Applications / BlackBerry Bridge, CPU and memory usage seem much better. Just watch how quick resources jump back to zero quickly after bridge tasks complete. I don't known what they did for the Browser fix, but resource usage seems much stabler.
