Would it have killed the Research In Motion employee to have reconnected to WiFi when showing the calendar features? Or did he not know how to reconnect? Those spinning circles might make people wonder about this tablet.

FINALLY they show Android in a video (or maybe I'm just late to the party). Maybe now everyone will shut up about it.

Interesting response regarding the blutooth keyboard question at the 14 minute mark roughly. Dont want to read to much into what was said, but I find it interesting that he didn't indicate anything about an OEM keyboard. Of course, I may be reading too much into it

Edit: Is that cross gesture at the very end of the video something that is unique only to the Android Player? Or can that work within the main Playbook OS. I think its quite useful.

WiFi didn't drop. Later in the vid you can see it is connected. It's possible there was major WiFi congestion at CES but I think the behavior was just unexpected and Jeff did a good job covering.

Nice to finally hear why they never showed Facebook integrated to PIM, he says they are demoing twitter and LinkedIn but other popular social networking will be included at launch.

it is the back gesture for android player only.
He was a bit wrong, saying that this gesture sends you back to recent apps' screen. It is the same as the back button on a blackberrh phone.

They will, but it will still just be a developer beta as before, so almost all the cool stuff from CES is likely to be missing in it.

You can use the same gesture to back out of a created folder in 2.0, instead of hitting the little "x" in the corner

Freaking awesome!! Suddenly a feature that was really bugging me for several aspects with poor usability starts looking not so bad.

    Great video, thanks.

But what worries me is that the OS seems to be too far from being complete. I guess you noticed that the native PIM apps don't work in the portrait mode.

I really hope that they will release a more or less stable and bug free update and it won't take them too long.

RIM also never showed OS1 in portrait mode till later in it's development. Even though they are employees and at CES, doesn't mean they are running the latest build.
