that's the most ridiculous thing i've ever read,,, port is port, starboard is starboard, regardless of vessle size...
I is already knowing that sailor but thanks anyways.........it's the easiest things in the world see cause planes have that as well......

A man once said to me:

How many characters are in the word PORT? Answer 4.
How many characters are in the word LEFT? Answer 4.
How many characters are in the word RED? Answer 3.
How many characters are in the word GREEN? Answer 5.

Therefore if it's PORT, it has to be LEFT and RED and if it's STARBOARD its RIGHT and GREEN? See eh?

That is of course unless your flying upside down in which case it doesn't matter and if it's a boat/ship and your lights are upside down it really doesn't matter anyway. In that case open a bokkles of brandy and lookout for sharks see eh?

You can dock some boats with either side dockside. Aren't larger vessels usually equipped so that one side is meant to be dockside for unloading. Recreational boat users with small boats can usually tie up with either the left or right side of the boat adjacent to the dock in which case the term s port and starboard have little meaning. Of course if they cruise streams with navigation buoys they should know the system.

Sunday I'll go to church, and I fall on my knees and pray.

    Mondays stormy,
    Tuesdays just as bad
    Wednesday's worse
    Thursdays oh so sad.

But the eagle flys on Fryday and Saturday I go out to play.

No but it would be advisable to post a surgeon's general warning for the unsuspecting public.

How many characters are in the word BALONEY?
    Answer: 7.
Ok I'll simplify it for you.

What colour is Port (the drink) - answer Red.
How many characters does the word Port contain - answer 4.
How many characters does the word Left contain - answer 4.

Therefore if you see a light the same colour as the port in your glass then the side it refers to can only have the same number of characters as port? With me so far eh? Which direction Left or Right contains four characters? Mmmmmmmmm I'll choose Left therefore Port is Left and Red and Starboard is Right and green see eh?

Did I get that right.........oh Shuddup grape you've confuzzed mees nows see?
