My playbook was fully charged and I was watching a programme in ITV player. It then suddenly switched itself off and now won't turn on again. I've tried putting it on charge, even though it is fully charged. I've also tried to back it up on my pc but the pc isn't even picking it up. Anybody got any suggestions? Its only 1 week old so its brand new.

Have you pressed and held that power, up volume and down volume?

Not sure if that doesn't work you may have to do the dm trick where you start db with the playbook plugged into the usb and then do the steps above to reboot your playbook and dm should prompt you to update. Only thing is with that is you'll lose anything on it.

As mentioned, pressing and holding the three buttons all at once for about 15 or so seconds sometimes reboots it.

Others have sometimes found that when it enters that state, leaving it alone may sometimes run the battery down and then they can put it on the charger.

Debrick procedure using Desktop Manager (dm)

Connect the PB to your PC with DM running.
    From the Menu, click Device>update.
You'll get a notification that the OS is up to date.
Reboot your PB while still connected to DM.
You will then get a new prompt in DM, hit the update button.
