My BBP won't rotate (The orientation isn't even on so it's stuck as landscape) and it's on the latest version... Also the speakers aren't working. I tried the headphone jack trick put it wouldn't work. Right now i am hoping this security swipe will fix everything. Please help me if you have any other suggestions x.x

May i suggest a OS reload instead of security wipe....???

When you say the orientation isn't even on, do you mean that it isn't locked? If you meant something else, then check the top bar (where the clock is on the OS) for an icon that are 2 rectangles, one landscape and one portrait. Make sure that isn't locked. If that is what you meant, then sorry for rehashing something you tired.

I do not have any suggestions for the sound, but saw a thread about it fairly recently.

I feel really slow today . What do you mean "reload"? As in restart?

Also just for additional info - some Android apps will freeze the orientation and you canNOT rotate it to landscape or portrait. They might even do this if running in the background but don't have focus.

Also, the method to change from one to the other requires the pb to be 'standing on edge' as it were, not flat on a table. More - the ports (usb, hdmi) would be on the table with the screen at 90 degrees.

But you might have a problem if the speakers are gone, too.

The PB has a one year warranty to the original purchaser. It also has 90 free Tech support. I do not know how Rim deals with "quasi-tech support v. warranty"
