As I said this is a super simple mount.
    But rather sturdy
This is also version one, will watch for where can improve as needed.

The case is a playbook case, and the metal is steel strapping. It holds in the vent. Super fast to pop in and out.

    Enjoy

Osmand should be better for your purposes than Nogago, and since Nogago is an offshoot of Osmand, the learning curve should be short.
    Thank you
I do agree the map management is much better and so far I am enjoying using it, put it thru some tests soon! Appreciate the tip

Thank you for replying: I bow down,
That is an amazing step up and in quality. You give me inspiration to improve.
I must know tho. What are the apps you used?
Music is not native but much better looking
Car specs! Is that the torque app? And what odb2 wifi card did you have? I found many on amazon but prices ranged so don't want to over spend.
    Thank you!
    Well done!

For music I use neutron player, for navigation : Magellan compass and yes that is torque. Be caution : if you buy an obd adapter make sure is a WI-FI adapter NOT bluetooth because playbook doesn't support bluetooth accessories. Search amazon for elm327 wi-fi interface , torque works over wi-fi.

Hey darkhawk great work! The simplicity works in its favor! Very very nice. I like it. How is Magellan or the other maps compared to a commercial gps?? Is it as reliable as a store bought gps?

    Very cool indeed.

I found the location was quite accurate.
Bigger screen is great tho. I'm going to do more testing with searches and location.
    I tried megellian, Osmand, nogago
I used nogago for years I enjoy it Osmand might be a step up and it has easier map loading. Megellian has less control over offline maps so it's out. For me. The plan is offline for me. The internal gps I find is just as accurate as a Garmin or megellian for road needs. That's my 2 cents anyhow

    Greenposie thanks for the appreciation!

I did but over all it is not the greatest app. All it does is speedo. And compass I can't say I would recommend it.

Google Maps 6.2.0 is worth adding for Maps. Works perfectly.

For your purposes, nothing. It's very limited in offline map management, and it cannot calculate or recalculate routes while offline.

I don't use Tinycam on my Playbook, but I do use the free Android version on a couple of tablets. It has always been great, stable and just works.

I use it for monitoring IPCams for security surveillance. Not sure how i would use it in the car. I also use Torque on the Androids, and it works well. The trip recording add on is good.
