So, I noticed that when I place my PlayBook next to my television, on top of my MacBook, that it will start going crazy. I don't know what it is, I'm sure there's some scientific explanation to all of the micro waves floating around that "bermuda triangle" of a spot, but who knows. I think it's just a ghost who stands in that one spot waiting to get his transparent hands on my PlayBook. I filmed this with my iPhone 4 ...
There have been quite a few threads on this issue... Plasma screens from TV's, ungrounded wiring in houses, on top of other devices that are alive....
So keep it away from those situations... and if it happens, do a three finger reboot.
To REBOOT:
Press and HOLD all three keys for about 10 - 20 seconds: PowerOn, VolUp and VolDown. Start with the PowerButton. If you hear a shutter type sound, you've taken a Screen Shoot and probably missed the PowerButton.
Your right it had nothing to do with the TV. It is indeed haunted.
I perform exorcisms and would be happy to help. Just send it to me. I should mention it could take 5 years or more.

Awesome. Be careful, it has a tendency to spew pea soup.
It could also be acting aggressively towards the Macbook. First you should remove it from that hostile environment.
I also offer counseling.
Again happy to help.

Haha, yeah maybe it wasn't happy that it was on a MacBook and being filmed with an iPhone
What kind of TV do you have? I have never seen it happen next to my Samsung 50" plasma.
I sometimes have those issues when the PB is next to all my chargers.
