    So I've seemed to always have an issue with the playbook calendar (glitchy and slow) but now it won't even open period. I updated to OS 2.1 with no change except now I get an error id : 35005 when trying to download updates from app world (upon more investigation I realized my BB id on my 9900 ends with. ".net" and the one on my PB end with ".com" (my bad???) So I figured what the . . .just back up the PB and wipe/reset right??? WRONG . . .My PB currently refuses to back up . . . where to next. . .I haven't had one issue when it came to playing games but to get stuff done I always have an issue. . .wow. . .help will be appreciated. . .

    There has been some problems with this beta. Hence beta I had to wipe with cfp and then write the previous 2.1 beta and then whitelist and upgrade to 2.1.0.840.

    Complicated,yes,but it worked.

    What happens when you try to back up the PB?

    Does Desktop Mgr 'find' your PB?

    When you use the DM back up option does it start to back up?

    The PB connects, I hit back up and the progress bar pops up for about a min then an error message shows up saying to check if the PB is connected properly or something like that. . .

    Sign in with same bbid and you'll see all your apps in uninstalled list in app world where you can reinstall. You'll lose any progress data in games, and mae sure to back up your media (or copy if backup isn't working) before security wipe. Also if you got some apps on special/free/sale you might get message about price of app being changed so you might have to pay to get them back. This has only happened to me on a few apps.

    I tried. . .it keeps saying the right one is "unavailable". .. I still don't under stand. . .It's supposed to be one id for multiple devices right???

    All the info I've found says your "BlackBerry ID can only be associated to one BlackBerry smartphone and one BlackBerry PlayBook tablet at any given time." So I should be able to use the one I have on my phone with my Playbook no problem. . .so why is it keep telling me the username is already in use? (are both your username and screen name exactly the same on u pb and phone?)

    Yes my user and screen name are the same on both. Screen name ***** and user name is *****@whatever.com

    . . .If I can just back up my app info I wouldn't mind doing a wipe and seeing if entering my correct id info afterward would work. . .(seems like the only problems people are having backing up the PB is when you try to back up app info. . .wow. . .

    Yep I hear ya on that one! What OS are you using now? There is too much a backup from this OS won't work on that OS. Hope they get it right for bb10.

    I'm on the 2.1 beta. . .but I've had the problem since the very beginning. . . ( just didn't make a big deal out of it till now since we finally have halfway decent apps now. . .

    I'm on the 7.1 version. . .tried every time I updated the DM and never worked. . .I have two PB backup files (one from Feb and the other from May) and I have no clue how they got there. . .lol

    Tried. . .asked me to do a security wipe. . .went through the props and it said the user name is already in use. . .(by me of course. . .lol)

    still getting nothing . . .I read some where that folks eventually get it to work after a couple of tries (4-5 tries). . .this is my tenth with no luck. . .With custom back up device setting and media back up just fine. . .it's the application data that won't back up. . .hence me deleting apps trying to figure out what the problem is. . .
