    Hi,

I currently have a windows laptop and a playbook. At this time, I can access my multimedia files through the wifi network with my laptop powered on. I would like to find a way to access media files through my home network without having my laptop powered on (sometimes I have to leave it at work). I know it is possible through apps like dropbox, but I was thinking of buying a multimedia player (f.e. Iomega screenplay, or any other). This way I would be able to view video's on my television too. But I was asking myself how this would interact with the Playbook?

Could this work and would it be complicated to set up?

    Thanks for the help!

My first thought would be to get a network storage device (NAS). One with DLNA capability is prefered as some TV's, Xbox's, Playstations, DVD's, etc can use it to stream from the NAS. The playbook may also be able to stream DLNA if some of the rumors are true. Otherwise it acts as a network device where you can see your files and dowload them to your device.
