[Mockup] Introducing the Blackberry Cobalt
Yes, this is similar to my previous thread. But it's been updated.
As most of us know there are some rumours that RIM will be producing a tablet. Whether or not it is true or not, we have been making a wish list of what features will be in the Cobalt/BlackPad/MotherBoard/SurfBook (I'm sticking with Cobalt, but SurfBoard is starting to grow on me).
Based on past experiences with RIM, I attempted to create a basic mockup of what this tablet will most likely will entail. To be honest I'd be pretty disappoint if it didn't meet a good portion or my expectations.

(for some reason Autocad couldn't find the colour black even if it corrupted its databases)
Top strip: Blackberry status, time, Cobalt status
middle left: application switcher with easy access to common functions (media app would have play/pause on it)
middle right: at-a-glance today screen of all notifications
bottom: all applications
Specs:
7" screen
115mm wide x 190mm high x 12mm deep (4.5"x7.4"x1/2")
XGA+ screen resolution (1152x864, 4:3)
Stereo sound (top and bottom of screen)
WiFi n
Bluetooth
1GHz processor, or at least a very optimized 624MHz
A dedicated GPU, as in the Storm
1GB RAM
8-16GB ROM
Applications stored to ROM
SDHC card slot (comes with a MicroSD adaptor)
Headphone jack
USB OTG port
Ability to connect to external devices such as USB drives using the USB OTG port
Blackberry Desktop Manager (to syncronize and manage your Blackberry)
Self upgrading capabilities (no computer required)
10 hour battery live with moderate-heavy usage
a HDMI Micro connector would be nice...
matte finish, to resist scratches/smudges and to be easier to grip
And for those that think the Cobalt would be too hard to type on, imagine holding two 9700's side by side using each hand to type on each one. it's a bit narrower than that.
Attached is the original .dwg file. I just switched from Sketchup so i don't know if it includes materials in the file
