Missing icon from sideload, and creating new folders...help please
I am a new to BBPB person. Work just gave me 1. It will be mainly for work, but I am having huge issues figuring out how this thing works. If someone could help me out with a few of my concerns that would be awesome.
1. I just installed repligo with DDPB, but no icon appeared. How do I get the icon onto the desktop?
2. I need to make new files and folders to organize all the files I will be putting on this tablet, how do I make new folders?
3. I use outlook and connect via exchange...is there an easy way to get all my contacts from that to my PB or do I have to follow the "make a gmail account etc"
Re: Missing icon from sideload, and creating new folders...help please
1. If the icon is not showing, there is a very good chance it was not installed. I use PlayBook Tools and the command window always shows success or an error before closing;
2. Install AIR Browser, free from AppWorld, but be advised that most apps (Messages, Docs2Go, Adobe Reader, Videos, Music and Files) ignore folder structures (Pictures being the exception - it turns folders into photo albums);
3. Gmail is the less troublesome way so far. Import years your contacts into a Gmail account and add it to the PlayBook.
And welcome to the forums.
Re: Missing icon from sideload, and creating new folders...help please
The easiest and best app for creating and organizing folders on your PB s probably Ghost Commander (free in app world), which is a dual pane file browser. Note that you can go into settings to customize the appearance and functionality of Ghost, and also note that the toolbar on the bottom of the app scrolls left and right. You can also use Ghost to connect to your PC to browse and stream any shared files there.

I checked the run app after installation and did take it for a test drive so it must be installed? I will attempt to install it again, but I don't see how it worked that first time without in being loaded properly.
thanks for the welcome, glad to be here
UPDATE: So I go to reinstall repligo, I fire up DDPB and plug in my PB, all of a sudden the icon appears without me doing anything...wierd but glad to have it there. I have also installed ghost commander and will give that a test drive.
