My 16G PB is less than 2 years old but in the last month I have had a series of serious problems come up. First my PC can no longer detect the device (it's not the PC). Then the camera stopped working. Now the sound is permanently OFF (red bars on speaker icon). I took it in to the place it was purchased and they were not able to help and suggested that it would not be economical to repair. I really didn't plan on investing in another tablet device so soon. Any advice would be appreciated.

You can try a three finger salute power + and - all together until it reboots. If that doesn't work you could try a debrick which will delete everything and reinstall the OS. Does your pc see it via wireless?

Edit: or a wipe because your pc doesn't see it. Have you tried reinstall of DM?

Your PC COULD support Bluetooth 4.0 with this dongle from Monoprice.com for $8.10. For only $8.10 each when QTY 50+ purchased - USB Bluetooth v4.0 USB Dongle

    Read the reviews...it rocks.

Seriously? $8.10? I bought one in our local store (Poundland) for just 1 ($1.50). $8.10 is a complete rip off.

    Is it Bluetooth 4.0?
You can get Bluetooth 4.0 dongles from eBay for <$5.00, shipping included.

An airline ticket to a Poundland store and back would cost me about $2500.00 so $5.00 from eBay or even $8.10 from Monoprice really isn't that bad.
