Ok so I was backing up my Z10 and I noticed that the new BlackBerry link software was designed for the PlayBook as well, with a smooth backup of the PB.

Which is cool as I can now remove the old desktop software.

So anyhow maybe the PlayBook hasn't been totally forgotten if it's been included in the software designed for BB10

The option was always there. The feature isn't new. It had to be in link because the old software is truncated.

@BlackBerryHelp is still posting tips about the PlayBook on Twitter. Here are two from today:

Well, actually, they did not have to include the pb in this newest software. They did not include the OS7 and prior devices.

I suppose my initial thought was why design the PlayBook into the new software if the pb and bb10 devices weren't going to become more closely linked

It could have just remained being only supported by BlackBerry desktop.

You can still download the BlackBerry Native SDK for the PlayBook: Download for Windows - Native SDK for BB10 and PlayBook - BlackBerry Developer

If you omit the pb from link you're jus giving the middle finger to the pb owners thinking of buying a bb10 device.

If gives them false hope well surely it must be coming if its included in link.

Alas such is not the case. Just vague Thor propaganda still stringing pb owners along.

Blackberry has worked hard and there focus now is tune up the OS but also get more Ram free. This last one is importent voor playbook and that is also one of the goals Blackberry is working 2. on. I hope they succeed to make the os without lag.
