I know people use Handbrake - isn't there a mac version?
There is a Mac version of Handbrake. I use Apple TV and iPhone settings and it makes videos that works fine on my PlayBook.
HandBrake
Can this program work the other way? I can't view the playbook vids on my desktob (windows). I downloaded some program from CNET which I thought was reliable because it had tons of downloads and decent rating but the damn thing dumped a bunch of junk that took over my computer took me forever to clean it up.
As mentioned. Handbrake is good. VidConvert on the Mac will convert almost any video format and is much simpler to use. You could also use a PlayBook app which plays more formats than the native video player, like Kalemsoft Media Player.
Just get a Media Player app that will play the videos. The Windows Media Player is useless.
I use KMPlayer on Windows and KalemSoft Media Player on the Playbook. The two apps are not from the same developer.
so are we saying handbrake then ? what file should i convert to?
Handbrake for ripping dvd's and converting to h264. Or MPEG streamclip for converting just about any file back to quicktime.
do i want h264 or Quicktime for playing on my playbook?
