Flashing lights etc........put it back in the charging dock,I had it out for
A few hours using it as a clock! Whewww started charging red then green
I don't recommend trying this, reading all the posts here about charging
    Issues.
Thought I'd have to ask f2 to post the charging procedure again for the
    Hundredth time....lol

I've run mine dead before or to where it shuts downs a few times and never had trouble recharging but I have read many have had.

I've never had the battery shenanigans either - it's always managed to recharge no matter how low I've run it.

Ran mine all the way dead when I first got it, bricked. I had to reload the OS. Wouldn't make that mistake again!

I have two PlayBooks, a 16 GB and a 64 GB, that I alternate using. I regularly run the battery down past 9% and the flashing red/green LED. No problems getting them back with the included charger. I've had mixed results with the Rapid Charger though. It would indicate it was charging and not charge for hours.

Me, too. I don't make a habit of it, but I've not only run it down to 0%, but have run it for several minutes at that level before it finally shuts down. Then I'll put it in the charging cradle, and after a few minutes will get the blinking yellow light indicating that it's charging.

But doing this frequently is not a good idea. If at all possible, one really shouldn't take it below 30%, and the PB itself starts getting pretty insistent that it needs a charge once it gets below 10%, the reason being as much as anything to discourage taking it all the way down.

I've taken mine to 0% and then left it for the night and it was still working the next day at 0% for an additional 30 mins.

I run mine until it just stops or is at about 5 percent, never had a problem really.
My battery runs out fast though, four hours of surfing on websites, not youtube, and it is empty again.

Good practice to charge when you get to 20% because it will help extend your battery life and keep it more healthy according to tests reported at Battery University. Also good practice to not keep it at 100% according to same tests.
