Hi, so I've lost my PlayBook only a few days back. I'm hoping theres a way to track it or something. I did put a password on it so I don't think anyone can get past the lock screen but they might try to wipe it and load a new OS. I just wanna know if there is a way to track it, I know the PIN.

But if the person decides to install fresh OS and a new bbid, then there is not much you can do.

Where did you lose it? Contact RIM, you never know. Personally I have taped a business card on the back of mine. There are a few of us honest people around. Some people have left their PlayBook on planes, trains, buses, coffee shops and managed to get it back.

What if they typed a wrong password 10 times? Wiped and now they can use it?

Hello, first I want to say I'm sorry about you lost your playbook. And like many others in here my suggestion is call RIM, in that way no one can use the tablet because is going to be deactivated. Where did you left the tablet????

I live in the UAE, I'm a student and I used my PlayBook to assist me with my college notes etc. It was really handy. Had a convertible case on it so it looked very similar to a journal. Guess it's gone for good now.

Are you f'ing serious? You lose your Playbook (don't even know how that's possible), and you want us to help you out to get a new one? I guess that's the new Obama attitude that's running rampant in the country today. Take some responsibility for yourself...save up on your own and buy a new one. Personally I think this is a scam.
