    I have a program I use on my windows machine that has to me booted from disk in linux. Now is it, or will it be possible to get this program to work on the PlayBook??

    Probably not. QNX is a Unix variant but it's different than Linux. And the Playbook is modified QNX and even a QNX program would have to be modified to work on the Playbook.

    Unless your program is open source, then it may be possible (with a lot of work).

    If it runs in Android it is possible it can be ported to run in the Android emulator on the Playbook.

    QNX is a unix based OS.
    Linux is a unix based OS.
    Some of the same utilities exist in QNX and Linux.
    Linux binaries WILL NOT run in QNX.
    Some program source code can be compiled into Linux and QNX binaries.
    Many (most) Linux programs cannot be compiled to run in QNX without significant modification.
