Who would be ready to pay for an Android development for the playbook ?

I am not talking about breaking the bootloader, that remains BB's right.

On the other hand, Jelly Bean on such a great piece of hardware would immediately humiliate BB's executives. But that is not a legal issue.

With an Android rom, we could even have better bridge functionality with BB smartphones than the present system.

    In a matter of months.

So how are they going to put full android on it? I'd rather pay for win8 on it.

I don't know win8 on tablets, but I imagine it would be great too.

Do you need an authorization from Microsoft to do that ?

I don't know but I wouldn't know why if it will support the hardware.

its CA-15 and very well supported. a-z support is there.
    but the question is this........

pinky: hey brain so what are we doing tonight with android?
brain: same thing we do everyday, suck our thumb, thinking android will take over the world.

    thanks

i wont do android, apple, M$ or qnx.
either debian or slackware or arch, may be ubuntu. thats it.
go to xda forum after we cracked it and ask for android or apple or M$ or qnx support.
    thanks

p.s. once its cracked, you can load any OS IMHO. thats about it. android is a pain. i will help, but not officially. thats it. dont ask for more.

Is this really feasible? I would love to have jellybean running on my PlayBook. Sadly, I wouldn't even know where to begin.

FYI, i just talked to builders of other tablets, and they tell me they don't do Windows because there is license fee.

I guess it's just Android and Ubuntu now.
