Android has been using cutesy names and look at the pathetic quality of the hardware and software. If BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet Operating System 2.0 needs a cutesy name then let's go with something with some bite...and maybe some bark...say "Bite Me!"

I think they should stick to the simple number system. The cutesy names lose their cutesy-ness after a while and you often get locked into a pattern you may not want in the long run. Plus, it ends up being very insider-ish and just causes confusion to the gen pop. How many people know that Android 4 is the same as Ice Cream Sandwich? Froyo or Honeycomb, which came first? Oh, is it alphabetical? It just creates confusion.

As much as I favour "Barskin" ... and voted for it too ... if one is looking for an ideal name then shouldn't we add upon the notion of berries

2.0 could be blueberry ... or strawberry ... or gooseberry ... or raspberry (now that would be somewhat fitting ... we get raspberry at which point we can give the nay-sayers the raspberry! ) ... but I definitely think we should avoid (like the plague) "bumbleberry". No that one would be a marketing nightmare!

Since QNX has UNIX roots, we should go old school geek and name them in Klingonese. OS2 would be Jak'tahla and the next release could be Qapla'. When they start licensing the OS to other manufacturers, that version would be Sli-Vak.
