Kindle Kindleapp sideloaded
I know this has been discussed before yet I've been unable to find anything that resolves the problem for good.
When I use my sideloaded Kindle app it seems to work fine. However it regularly requires that I reregister the device AND re-download all my books. It seems that that something is getting lost or corrupted. Could it be a permissions issue?
I know I can use the cloud reader but I prefer the app itself.
Anyone solved this issue?
Re: Kindle Kindleapp sideloaded
I've never had to redownload but it does sign out occasionally and I have to sign in again. My device is registered as My Android Device in my kindle account on Amazon.com and all my books are available on all 4 of my kindled up devices including my kindle keyboard 3g. That even sounds strange as books are downloaded to your playbook. You should try deregistering the device from your Kindle account and creating a new one with a new name and see how that goes.
Re: Kindle Kindleapp sideloaded
For some reason, since I started with a Kindle app on my laptop, then on my Torch 9800, then on a Kindle basic. When I got the PB in February, I registered it as my Android device.
As of now, my amazon prime account shows my Kindle, my BlackBerry 1 and 2, and android 1 and 2. I only have to sign in on occasion, and all my purchases are available in archive. I do remove books on occasion to free up space.
Re: Kindle Kindleapp sideloaded
This might not be the place to ask this but.....
I may have missed a feature: Does the Android Kindle app show LOCATION info when reading or in a display or menu?
Re: Kindle Kindleapp sideloaded
@F2: Mine loaded to a screen in portuguese last time I sideloading it. I was all O.o when I saw it.
@Harry: yeahh... That happens every time you sideloading the app after a wipe/reload. What I do is delete (deregister) all android devices and then run the app. Go back into Manage Kindle Devices and rename it ot Diego's BlackBerry Playbook. :)
OP: I agree to what Naija said. Close the app, deregister the devices, open the app, log in, change the name online, close the app, open the app.
That should do the trick. And make sure it is on WiFi during the process. It should work offline after you download your books.
