Pissing off existing customers when your own marketing is largely a fail: never a good idea.
+ a Million! Sell like Hell (so we don't have too)?! Same old RIM, just a new mouthpiece spreading misinformation to move units.

Yes it is quite disappointing. As a loyal BlackBerry consumer, I was really looking forward to having BlackBerry 10 on my PlayBook. However, I still had my doubts, simply because the PlayBook was already quite slow to respond for me, and so to put an even more demanding GUI on the thing didn't seem like it would work.

I don't think Kevin lied about anything. He said what he really believed. I have teased Kevin about his 'defending' of BBRY and especially the 'hair' thing....(hey its funny).....
But i would like to apologise for thinking and implying in past posts that Kevin is a 'fanboy'...I no longer think that ....I think he likes the company and believes in it.....and i think he is equally as disappointed at the lack of Loyalty from RIM towards the playbook.
Oh...Kevin i make no promises that i will refrain from teasing you in the future.
Kevin never lied about instagram on playbook, it can be side loaded, and instagram already said that BlackBerry 10 is coming along with windows phone support.
And in all fairness, the playbook wouldn't have run well on the playbook. Over all of that the playbook was never a product released under Thor and he thought just like the rest of us that the playbook was getting BlackBerry 10. So I get the hate, but it's not his fault entirely. The CEO of a company needs to have the companies best interest at heart. If BlackBerry 10 was to come out on the playbook I guarantee that everyone saying "I'm never buying a BlackBerry again because BlackBerry 10 isn't coming to the playbook" will say something along the lines of "Blackberries are slow, they always have been, they always will be...I'm not buying another BlackBerry for as long as I live"
Chill people, it's not that serious.
Wait 2 years and see what happens to the z10 and q10, RIM released the playbook, BlackBerry released the Z10 and Q10.

I think it's fair enough to let the Playbook die. I have one, it was good with my 9900 but my ipad is better. The boot time on the Playbook was an absolute shocker. Anyway, there are lots and lots of very unhappy bunnies on the forums at the moment and that cannot be a good sign for Blackberry. The latest financials are a shocker. I can upgrade my phone in October. I'm starting to think, after many happy years with Blackberry, starting with an 8707v, that I might have a look at Android and iOS. I don't need Blackberry balance, I don't work for a corporate, and I don't want to wait ages for bug fixes, missing features to appear, dealing with Blackberry link, or issues with my Google calendar and Blackberry calendar (which may well be at Google's end but who knows?) I don't think the A10 will sway me away from the siren call of the other side. I may change my mind, but the wind BB is sailing into is blowing pretty hard and I'm starting to not believe any more. Anyway, I have a few more months with my precious 9900 and I may just stick with that for a few more years!
Kevin cut off his hair when BB10 was finally released. Now that BB10 for PB is dead, is he going to cut off his head?
We can only hope. (sorry Kevin couldn't resist)
Talk about emotional outbursts!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm struggling to find a link that makes Kevin responsible for Thor's actions. Kevin has told no lies whatsoever and I have not only the utmost admiration for Kevin but also the utmost respect.
Kevin has always as far as I'm concerned been absolutely faithful to his word and if any member would like to look up my old posts, I have stated many times that RIM would be a far different, far better company if they adopted just a small proportion of Kevins business ethics and honesty.
Pick on me if your frustrated but please, please don't vent your blind anger on Kevin.
Traitor. Gave a false hope to the customer.

LOL... y'all missed the joke. OP is not ragging on Kevin at all.
If the OP is that desperate to attract Kevins attention, it might be easier to just pm him instead of insinuating that Kevin lied!
Did you even READ the damn OP before spouting off this nonsense? Can't you read?!
All... please use the official thread for discussions of the Playbook news: http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...aybook-823015/
Thank you!
