Playbook has awesome apps, umm well no apps/games haven really come out for it. It's DEAD app wise and the android runtime pretty much is the nail in the coffin. Besides a video player and music player it's not much good for anything else. Besides it being cheap i wouldn't buy another one. The browser lag alone is enough to throw it in a bush. Let alone the OS slow downs, unresponsive typing the list goes on and on.

In the meantime OP got a new PlayBook. It's one heck of a solid tablet. There's some nice games like Batman, Tetris, Logo game, movie quiz, robin Hood, flappy herbie, pew pew, modern combat, space invaders, rope rescue, carnivores, chimpanzee, kiwi wonder, asphalt 6, creatures, bad egg, mine craft just to name a few. None of these are sideloaded.

Okay...I'm in my second week with my new barely used PB and loving this thing. I bought it after selling my Nexus 7 2nd generation. Screen is so much brighter...tho turn it down usually to save battery. Using the quick charge. Web browsing could be better but adequate using origami...esp since I don't have to use apple or android systems. I did not pay near as much...I know it's browsing, music, movies sideloaded from dvd collection and basic emails are going to be just fine. Heavier yes...much...but feels sturdier in my big guy hands. So I knew what I was getting...it's a bargain...works for me. (would buy a PB 2 BB10 but know that's a pipe dream). Enjoy yours too!

    For $50 it's a great tablet.
Don't take financial advice from anyone that thinks spending 4 - 6 times the money on a different tablet would be a better decision. People are full of good advice when they are spending your money.
As mentioned before, get Origami browser and Kalemsoft Media Player. These two apps alone will give you a very useful device.

I bought a new PlayBook 4G a couple weeks ago and I really like it. I'm not sure why people think the browser sucks. I have Flash and Java on all the time and it's not slow. It's slower than my Z10, but not by much, and that's with crappy wifi for my PlayBook versus 4G on my Z10.
