Sorry but this one has me steaming!

"Blackberry OS 2.0 (current) is a 373, OS 2.1 soon to be released is a 393 and BB10 is a 447... IOS 6 is 360.... yea they sure are beating up the competition." <--(my post on imore)

They claimed that iOS 6 Safari 'still' beats the competition????? The only Blackberry OS they beat was Tablet OS 1.0

Congrats Apple on finally beating our 1.5 year old browser.
Before you get too worked up, I'm not sure that higher score equates to the rendering speed. It had been my experience that the PB renders a bit slower than the fruityPad. I still prefer to wait on my PB a little rather than miss out on the flash content.

Ok apparently the source imore used was wpcentral (where it was originally posted) and wpcentral updated the article just after iMore had posted. This made it seem like iMore purposely skipped Blackberry when all along they just needed to update the article. ALL IS GOOD NOW SO PLEASE KEEP IT CLEAN.

Doesn't matter, the direct rendering speed isn't taken into account.. the overall score was in which case, the PlayBook running 2.1 (even 2.0) comes out on top, never mind the fact the BB10 Dev Alpha beats all the noted ones as well, lol.

    I posted there too
You beat me to it. When I first read this article I thought iOS6 must have beaten BB10, or at the VERY least PB 2.0......but I see that they did not. This article is VERY misleading. It's like comparing a Porche to a Ford Focus & saying SEE we beat the competition.

BTW Congrats, the yet to be released iOS 6 does beat the 1.5 year old PlayBook OS 1.0 Browser
I thought of posting it here but was scared it would draw people to the imore site that would then flame them....hope that doesn't happen. I suspect it was just an oversite by the author (atleast I hope it was) I'm sure iMore will print a retraction stating that they had neglected to look at BlackBerry or Chrome (atleast I hope they will)

Hey listen, that article tells us something very important in regards to iOS6 and Apple's current thinking. Clearly, they are concerned with the fact that they are trailing the pack in HTML rendering. 360 is decidedly mediocre and it once again reminds me that Apple appears to be struggling with its OS. I mean really, this is the best you can do with your new OS. It pretty much tells us there will be few if any surprises coming from Apple in September. My bet is that they will trot out the old retina display (blah, blah, blah) and tout the new 7 inch iPAD.

My bet is that BB10 will have plenty of surprises. I have a friend or two working in Waterloo and the rumors are quite interesting. Mr Hein's statement about building the most advanced communication platform across devices is quite telling. If what I heard is correct, RIM's timing for BB10 will be perfect.

Although one can't trust rumor's, if correct, RIM'S is about to turn the table in the mobile communication field. Mr Hein's, you will either be remembered as the goat or a clever, clever man. I think it will be the latter.

Typically every time a major browser updates, it's the fastest until the next browser updates. IE might be a little more interesting because it's the only one not on WebKit now, but they're all so close it makes almost no difference to humans.

But we'll update to include the PlayBook as well, because Bla1ze as per usual kicked on his post.

Interestingly, our other sibling site, CrackBerry.com pointed out that RIM's still-in-beta browser, Torch on BlackBerry 10, pulls off a staggering 447 points plus 10 bonus points. So the bar for everyone is clearly still being raised
Soooo... What about the PlayBook (373 on oficial 2.0.1)? And who on Earth still calls the browser "Torch"?

Oh yes, URL still reads the same.

Well, with a HTML 5 rendering score of 450, Dolphin HD on Android seems to be the front-runner for now

These things change like magic though and I don't think this is really any indication of browser rendering speed anyway.
