i think that pretty much classified as "up in the air" if they didn't give a specific date. if they're so committed they could at least assure the public on a time frame or give them a straight forward answer not like " we are looking toward the future" when asked about it.
would it surprise anyone if they just came out and give a really water down version of bb10 or they just say they don't see tablet having a future and they will focus on phone so it will be cancel.
Can't an iPad deal with Javascript? I find it a big handicap having it turned off on the PB.
I played with an Asus pad at bestbuy yesterday. It was win8, not RT, using an arm processor. I don't know if it was there wifi but it was slow and laggy. In fact everything seems slow and laggy so I don't think it was their wifi. I hear the new arm chips coming soon should be a lot better. I'm also getting tired of my pb and waiting for it to become the butterfly it was supposed to.
I similarly played with a few convertibles at Staples and their wifi was cranky so it was hard to tell what was the device and what might have been the wifi connection.
i might be wrong, but last i checked isn't intel the only one making full window 8 tablet?
I actually find the Play book a lot easier to use than my Ipad, especially for work, you try loading documents onto the Ipad, its a nightmare, at least with the PB you can plug it in to your PC and treat it like an external hardrive and just drag and drop documents onto it, also the browser supports flash player where the ipad doesn't, I have my email, contacts and calander all set up to sync with my outlook, again something I don't think the ipad can do
No, there are several that I've seen online and at bestbuy yesterday with an arm processor and win8 not RT on them. There are more coming.
I'm interested in this one if it's not RT. Acer Iconia W3 official: the first 8-inch Windows 8 tablet launches this month for $379 (hands-on)
i have an ipad mini as an ereader over the kindle and a gps for the car lighter and easier to handle than the playbook
i have an RT for work travel when i need to use MS Office with a 1TB wireless harddrive
the playbook is a good multimedia player but that's about it in comparison to what's out now
to me seamless connectivity and integration between your phone and your tablet was what this was all about but that's gone now in the LTE world. I guess that's why phablets like the note 2 are making a hit.
I'd prefer a Q10 LTE bridged to my 64GB Playbook for as much as i have tried none of these touch screen devices have ever replaced my bold as far as one handed sightless keying including the Z10.
The day i can make and take a call with my tablet over LTE (coming soon) using a bluetooth headset is the day i lose my phone.
can you show me one with ARM processor thats full window 8 and not rt? thanks
It has win8 not RT and not pro.
Acer Iconia W510-1674 Tablet - Microsoft Store

My bad atom not arm.
