Try m.youtube.com. its HTML5.
Also, i dont recommend turning off Javascript, many websites use it for login, etc.

All of YouTube's stuff gets encoded for HTML5 nowadays. It should work just fine without Flash (does for me). Don't need to use their mobile site.
