I think that the update to 668 is still available. Of course I'm no expert and since I have it already I can't try to download it.

Never too soon - just too impossible.

I think he might be right... but a tadge premature.

RIM must realise that they have to get onto the front-foot after pulling the 668 update, so I reckon they'll release the 4GPB on Thursday with 2.0.1.693 (693 is just a guess that gives them a few builds to fix things in 668 ) ... let the 4GPB have some time in the spotlight to earn PR points... and then release that same OS to the rest of us ... say early next week?

It think the 4G playbook won't be launched with 2.1 .. It think that they have to update when you start-it-up to .668 or maybe 2.1

It would be a nice surprise if the 4GPB came with 2.1 (before/after setup) as I reckon existing PB's will get the same OS soon after... but, is 2.1 ready for showtime?

A 4GPB with a 2.0.1 build is my guess. Tho' I'd be surprised if it were 668 as that number now has erm... a "reputation". So I'm sure it'll be numbered differently (even if it's the same software under the hood).

It's the same reason ship owners don't call their new mega-liners "Titanic".

    We'll see what tomorrow brings.

It's mentioned on PB 4G website that it ships with OS 2.0.1
