im in Miami looking to finally buy the playbook. i have 2 great deals.... $370 cash for new sealed 16GB Playbook or $560 for 32GB cash...im leaning towards the 16GB for $370 but not sure if i prefer 32GB...mind you...im not into saving movies or big files on it. if i want to watch a 1080p movie...i watch it in the comfort of my sofa on my 65 sammy flat screen. i know i can connect playbook to TV. your opinion is greatly appreciated. thank you.
If you don't need much space for media files, go with the 16 GB.
I've got 64 GB from my experience before with 16 GB iPad. There, big apps take your space up quite quickly and music/videos of course too.
There is not many big apps for PB and if you stay to your idea of not using it for multimedia, 16 GB are the better choice, especially because of the big price difference you're being asked for the 32 GB.
agreed. i will mostly use it more at home. and load up pictures to show my customers when i do estimates of my work. im a general contractor. i also plan to take it with me when i go on vacation etc. i have an upcoming 4 day stay in key west july 8 with wifey and my 8 months old son.
With the Android App Player and the NDK on the horizon I'd look at the 32gb, you never know how many decent apps you'll discover that you want and some of them will be HUGE!
16gb is too small in my opinion, which is why I bought the 32gb version. I do have a lot of music files on my Playbook and didn't want to have to worry too much about space later on.
i remember when i bought my ipod touch...i looked at 16gb but went with 32 gb to be on the safe side. talking about the current generation...the 16GB now at $350.00 but ofcourse im debating if i should get the 32GB or wait a lil longer for price drop..yikes! lol

I'm like you I don't store a lot of movies and music and 16G has worked out fine so far. Eventually if it gets full I will just offload my stuff No biggie I'd rather save the money now because there may be another product coming and it would just be a waste - besides there are wifi hard drives available I understand...personally I think large storage is more important on a phone or whatever device is more easily toted if its music you want. And yeah Playbook is a little awkward for watching movies comfortably even with a screen and the always too short hdmi cable. Just having a cable makes Playbook no longer "wireless" so whats the point?
Yes I may fill up on apps but then I just delete the useless ones or the ones I haven't been using - they can easily be reloaded.
Go 16g especially at that price - I paid $500.

I went with the 16GB because I also have a bb phone. I keep my music on the phone and put whatever movies I want on the Playbook. As long as you keep your media files separated between the two devices there is tons of room.
No...been using it all day...and seller is highly recommended. Has store in downtown Miami. Did the updates...playbook running fine..bridge working good..so nope...no imitation here.
