For reasons unknown, my Playbook has an unsecured Bootrom. I can go as far up and down as I want. It stops unfortunately with a 00004 error after a successful install. Must be a mismatched radio driver issue.
I have installed 10.2 on my 4G Playbook, but, it stops on this error-img_20151016_205703.jpg

And no, this is not a stupid image or a trick. I hope my reputation on this forum speaks for itself. Everyone knows I sacrificed my WiFi PB to research this on previous attempts, but I never dared sacrifice my beloved 4G. However, my nephew managed to crack the digitizer and I can't figure why no generation of playbook digitizer will fit. The connectors are totally different. There is something special about this Playbook.

My only thinking is because this PB was used internally at RIM (as it was known at the time) and it has an unsecured Bootrom. Does anyone have ideas on next steps. I am willing to try anything. Hahaha.

I tried Dev Alpha A 10.2 Radio file. Does anyone have the radio file from 10.0.9.44 or any 10.0.9 build. Anything less will not work. Your help is appreciated!

Congradulations! You have killed the poor PlayBook! Try wiping the NAND Flash and installing 2.1.0.1917 on it. While plugged into a PC. MA out!

That is the v2 version that will fit the 4G LTE variants.
Good luck with this one. Goddammit will donate 300$ if you are able to do so.
10.2 on PlayBook will pretty much revive this wonderful yet forgotten tablet.
    Once again good luck!

This error is probably caused by the fact that you can't install OS 10 on a PlayBook.

    Just sayin'.

Actually you can, well, at least early beta versions of 10.0 can be installed. 10.2 is another story, though, but the OP claims he has an unsecured bootrom, so anything may be possible.
