Lol. So basically I bridge to my Bold 9900 during the day at work so that I can send and receive private texts and mails over my personal 3G, thus circumventing the corporate firewall. I browse the web and access pages I can't access at work, such as Crackberry and Youtube. And at home I use it all the time for watching Flash-based streaming videos and casual surfing when I am laying back, chilling and don't want to have to sit at the desk with my heavy, hot workstation-replacement laptop.

I would have liked BB10, or at least some performance and stability improvements in the browser, but I'll still keep using it until it dies and I might even buy more as the price collapses and only second hand replacements are available.

Has BlackBerry confirmed they have stopped manufacturing the PB? It still shows up on their websites as a current product.

I use it a lot to surf the web rather than firing up my PC or laptop. I especially like the bridge functionality with my 9810.

Not sure if BB are still manufacturing the PB, but I wouldn't have thought so. They are very difficult to find brand new here in the UK.

It's excellent for streaming to the TV. I get a lot of use of the Videochat with relatives too.

Me too, I like the fact that the QNX operating system is smooth and really sleek to use.. I could get on that all day, no problem. And I have almost every app I ever need on a tablet, sideboarded and otherwise, so to me it's a a functional as it can be for me.

Hubby using it daily for web to replace dead netbook. However, the battery is no longer holding the same charge getting worse every day. Micro charger won't charge at all. Using rapid charger and even the dock. Too bad...he really likes it.

The only thing I don't use mine for in preference to my laptop is playing Minecraft and reconciling my bank accounts. Everything else home or otherwise that isn't my phone... PB. Was a gift at soon-after-UK launch from my (then) GF, (since) fiancee, and (now) Wife.

The PB is a great piece of kit, and such a shame the way that issue, support, and software has worked out for it. I'm keeping my eyes on amazon for a bargain to have another for when mine finally gives up.

I still use it, daily. Unfortunately, I find that some of its idiosyncrasies are annoying me more than ever. I think this is because, previously, I figured that these would go away, in BB10. Now, I know they never will.

I use mine everyday. I thought it died a few weeks ago. I went shopping for a replacement, nexus 7 or something like that. But the Playbook came back and I never leave home without it.

    Use it every day.
On my daily train commute, surfing using MIFI. Watching recorded tv of my Humax Foxsat, Youtube downloaded videos etc.
Quick check instead of turning PC / laptop on of News, weather, emails, feedly.
Via MIFI at work if blocked by firewall.
I use a fast charger, just leave it on that every night.
My netbook is totally redundant now and I would definitely buy another 7" tablet if anything happened to it.

It breaks my heart to say this but my PB has become little more than my alarm clock, almost completely replaced with my wonderful Z10. And now with 10.2 offering multiple alarms, my PB might be retired completely. I guess it'll be my music repository when I travel...

In my head, I understand completely why BB is abandoning the PB: dated hardware, little demand, no profit. However, it still hurts me that they are not replacing it with a new ber-tablet or SOMETHING that makes Heins' vision for the future more than just talk.

I still use mine daily but only when I have to because it's become such a slow azz pain to use.

OP you can do the same with any system and probably with less frustration.

Origami Browser has made the experience much better. Not using it nearly as much since getting my Z10, but still gets used daily.

I use it everyday and still loving it, particularly with the Origami browser. I use it constantly bridged to my 9930 and that's the only thing keeping from moving to BB10. I really really want to move on to the Q10, but don't want to give up the bridge functionality with the PB. It seems that Blackberry is losing some sales to loyal BB fans because of the bridge issue with BB10.
