Ok so I know its beta and I know it will be laden with bugs. Just want to draw the attention of those who have already installed the beta to know if im the only one with the problem.

If you have beta 2.1.x OS, please undock all the icons from the dock into the general app menu and try docking them back individually and let me know what happens.

    Oh man....not good.

ryder, I wouldn't advise people to do this, as the outcome is pretty bad.The icons disappear. After a reboot, the icons are still gone!!

    Further, a notification comes up:
    "array_insert invalid array index"

I know it's a beta, and there will be "bugs," but this is kind of ridiculous that a bug this significant still exists.

The bug is very significant to go unnoticed. Hopefully RIM fixes this ASAP

It's not just icons that had been on the home dock to begin with either; anything I try to add to the home dock gets "deleted."

This bug has been around forever. I wonder if it's been logged at all.

Again, reporting bugs here helps the rest of us but does not necessarily get back to rim. They have an official support forum where this type of stuff should be reported. It is a beta and RIM needs to get feedback or there's no point in testing the beta.

As developers, I'm sure you are reporting this bug in RIM's developer forum.

YEP !!! This happened to me even when I was on non-beta. Don't do it. You must have atleast one icon on the dock or else you'll have to wipe it.

Really? I've done this several times on mom-beta and nothing happened . I never liked icons on my dock and sometimes always moved them back and forth. This is a first.

I just tried it and it worked fine. I am sorry that you are experiencing this type of issue. You should post your findings on their forum for Beta Testers.

I can dock and de-dock at will on .668. I have done it on other official OS's as well. Never been an issue.

So looks like it's one of those bugs that affect some people but not others.

Like the Wi-Fi problem some people are having.

How on earth is RIM going to debug something like this?

I should repeat that I am using. 668 not the beta that was reported to have the issue.
I was just responding to the "forever" bug comment.

Why wouldn't it be a priority? That you have to wipe your PlayBook every time you undock your icons?
