    The Android Player is part of the BB10. If there's an update, it's usually included as part of the BB10 OS update.

    Well I'm glad they crush for you. However, if you want to update the Android player, all you need to do is shake the sugar tree. That is all.

    Playbook Android runtime cannot be updated. This has been discussed over and over. Only way for the Android runtime to have been updated would have been to get an update to the whole operating system, but that's not going to happen. You get what you have. If you are unhappy with the performance of Android apps on the PB, then I'd suggest getting an Android tablet.
