Wow how do you get that low? My 32 GB still stand at 10GB with ton of stuff on it. Mobile phone maker should start making bigger storage on mobile device like 250GB storage for starter ? This way can put more video and stuff on the PB from my PC without fear of not having enough space to update new OS

I remember my first 4.3gb hard drive... The feeling of "I will never be able to fill this up...!". Jump to 2009, and I don't want a 4gb SD card for my 8520 "I can't fit my music in there" and going 8gb.

The PlayBook sit on 5-12gb free. 32gb version here. Depends on how much music I want on the device (which right now is none).

I have a 16Gb and sfa for remaining memory. That was one of my first major shocks and disappointments with the PB, no expandable memory like EVERY other blackberry.

I have a 64gb PB and have about 3.5gb free space. It's mostly movies. I rotate them with my travel demands.

I had 2 500gb USB drives I constantly kept cleaning to make room for more "stuff". When I got my 2TB NAS, I thought I had more space than I would ever use and could retire the USB drives. Now the NAS is full and both USB drives are still in action.

I need a bigger garage too!

Mostly apps and videos. PlayBook apps are generally quite small, but games are bloody huge!

lol my first harddrive was 80 meggs. windows 3.1, lol had it loaded down with nes roms.
my pb stand at around 25gb yet. only have a few games on it, no videos or music yet. but for music prob gonna convert them down to around 128 or 192 bitrate. and videos will convert them down to, that if i keeps them on it. usally when i see a movie or show once, i feel no need to watch it again.
but that 1080 cam might fill the pb up faster than i can think.

32GB with 13GB remaining. More space will be recovered after I delete a couple of movies and some apps and games that are hardly used.

Speaking as someone with a 64GB PlayBook with under 1GB left, I have several movies, a ton of the big (almost a gig each) games, I use a lot of emulators, and PSX games are 500MB each if I remember correctly, and I've got a ton of music, several thousand pictures, and installation disks for Win3.11, 95, and 98 (only have 3.11 actually installed though, it's a great novelty, especially with Bridge Remote). I think that's just about it, at least for what really guzzles up the memory.

Unless you watch the same movies several hours a day, I can't see why you'd have more than one or two on your Playbook. Also, why on earth would you have several thousand pictures on it? Surely you're too busy playing games and watching movies to look at pictures. I assume you are unemployed (or working as a game tester!) since, if you're actually using all this data stored, you don't have time for anything else.

I won't even comment on why anyone would want the installation disks for Windows.... okay, I will comment! Surely, 3.11 takes up but a tiny amount of space (I had it on my first computer that had 2 MB of memory and and a 60 MB hard drive -- that's MBs, not GBs).

Meaning this in fun, not judgementally. It's like poking into someone's closet and thinking "why the heck doesn't he get rid of this crap?" Always easier if it's someone ELSE'S closet.

16gb Playbook with 400mb left. Filled with movies for family vacation, usually sits between 4-5gb free. I try to keep everything on my laptop and only use the playbook as temporary storage.

I have a 32gb PB I pre-ordered at launch. It has 22gb free. So as you can see, I've not found a lot of terribly useful apps. I am not a gamer, and I don't keep my music collection on the device. Until more productivity applications become available it will likely be used as mostly a web surfing device.

I have a 32 GB PlayBook and currently have about 10 GB free on the device. I have 6 movies, quite a few apps and a 1/4 of my music collection (Just in case I wanted a little music while I websurfed). It's easier for me as I also have a 64 GB New iPad. Most graphic intense games I opt to use on the iPad.

I think I read not too long ago about performance issues (freezes, force closes) and an association with <5-6 GB storage. With the two new free games at App World (they were both >300 MB), I kinda fell in this region (~5 GB) on a 16 GB PB. So far no issues. Any one else, e.g. those < 1GB free?

Until I got my PB, I used to watch movies on my 9800 when traveling. The movies I ripped were sized for the 9800 screen (more or less) and typically ended up in the 700-800 meg range each. Movies like Avatar come in around 1.5gb. This was a good thing as I had a 16gb MicroSD card. I also had a few gigs of MP3s. This allowed me to keep a decent assortment of media on it all the time without having to routinely delete/copy/resynch.

I've been gradually re-ripping some fav movies with the larger screen size to get a better picture during playback on my PB. This has increased the size of the movie by, at least, 50%.

Part of my NAS problem is due to having 3 different "versions" of a number of movies. I have a "full def" version to stream to my 47" TV, a "mid def" for my PB, and a bunch of "low def" for my 9800.

Did I mention I need a bigger garage too?
