I have a Tour 9630. It currently works fine on bridge. I use it a lot for my calender and memos. I hope that I won't loose the ability to do that with OS 2.0. What do you think?

Everything will work fine but I would move up to the Bold 9900/9930 everything seems to run a lot smoother. Or holdout for BB10 phone. I would make one of those moves. You'll enjoy it more.

Only if you don't mind your phone all of a sudden turning into a worthless brick.

Sorry couldn't help myself on that one. I for one would not advise anyone to get a new bold. Either of the torch's are nice devices though.

Homers right the BlackBerry torch is a better TOY than the 9930. So again I recommend the 9930 unless you let your 4 year old little sister play with it.

That's a good question,if I remember correctly it was stated that the remote function will work with all os6 and os7 phones, not sure what will happen with os5 but I would think all other bridge capabilities will work. As for the remote function....all I can say is.....idk...

If you're going to get a torch, the 9810 far surpasses the 9800.

I would also like more information. Is this only a 9930 problem or 9930/9900 problem.
I think they are referring to the problems with the 9930's self bricking. I don't know much about it or if it's fixed yet. I could search the respective forums but a quick summary would be appreciated.

It has been a reported issue with both the 9900 & 9930. A quick summary would be that there probably is no quick summary. Some think it has to do with the battery; some the OS. Some claim it has been fixed with the new 7.1 software. I have a 9930 on 7.1 and have had no problems...so far. Love it with my pb. I will admit I do watch it nervously & reboot while biting my nails.

Same here, 9930 with no issues, and three others in our office, same. BTW I'm still .254.
