    Kyle,
Now that i ran few tests i can confirm that if you do not use a wiped PlayBook the chances of getting errors are VERY, VERY, VERY HIGH.
The new apps, i mean, APP WORLD and Browser get in conflict and it will cause several errors.
Specially if you have the AIR BROWSER app.

Hey Kyle, got it loaded....you're awesome. I do have one question or issue, when I go to sideload the apps, I get a 500 error....nothing will load. Any ideas?

I'm not home at the moment, so I can't try to replicate this error. Can you place your mouse over the 500 error and see if it gives any more details? Which apps were you trying to sideload when you got this error? Have you tried disconnecting, reconnecting and sideloading again?

Also, be sure your PC and PlayBook are displaying the same date and time, or else the apps won't be sent to the device.

Ok buddy's, here's my experience with this OS.
1st - If you wan't it just for installing BB10 apps like Where's My Water, Skype, Angry Birds Star Wars, or whatever they are, give up now, it won't install and won't run.
2nd - The UI looks like **** since the differences between the screen resolutions, it's worst than a paint drawing.
3rd - The Browser works, yes, but it's slow, buggy and crashes all the time.
    4th - Multitasking? Forget it.
5th - Smooth transitions? Forget it too.
I would upload screenshots but i don't work.
Just do that if you really wan't to see how it works, if not, there's NO REASON to do that.
Let's just remember: This is an OS not designed for the PlayBook as the APPS inside neither.

Again, thanks for this tutorial Kyle, it's nice to see that the PlayBook actually CAN handle it.

Nice to have a quick taste of BB10 on PlayBook but clearly this version isn't quite ready to be a daily driver yet. That said, Sonic 4 ran rather well on it

Exactly my point. Rooting an old alpha OS with old tools....wheres that going to get us? And with broken features?

Energy should be spent on where it matters most. An updated version of Dingleberry is where it's at.

Went back to 2.1 and basically left the PB on the charging dock after completing the setup hours later. The new Android converting method basically stole the crowd for me yesterday. In the end, I wasn't too keen to go back and try this Dev OS again, not worth it.

The only thing worth at this point is to find userland exploits from dev alpha builds so it can be used in BlackBerry 10.

Yeah this wasn't meant as a permanent solution, just something to tinker around with. It was a revival project for my PlayBook since 2.1 is blocked on my device. Pretty much just to show that BB10 on the PlayBook is absolutely possible, contrary to what all the nay-sayers say about "not enough RAM".

The PlayBook has enough RAM to run BlackBerry 10. Anyone with a brainstem can tell you that unless the installer runs a check on the amount of memory the system has, which can also be bypassed. This was similarly done in Mac OS X to have it identify a non-supported cpu made from Apple themselves...

I'm sure the same people who told you that would be the same people who will also say BlackBerry 10 is jailbreak proof.

    Ive been installing it, loading all kinds of apps. having it crash completely. reload 2.1 then back to the dev s. a lot of fun that kept me busy over the weekend. Had netflix running for a bit(which worked better than the z10 version) tried all kinds of aps. Pacemaker for z10 worked flawlessly. which is why I wanted to do it in the first place. All around, it was a fun experience and shows that BBRY could port 10 to the pb. at least then bridge should work the way its meant to but wouldnt due to no bt support. Lets hope BBRY sees all this and reconsiders its position on the subject. (used Flix for netflix, sorry about the confusion) {thought I had that in here}
