Great story OP. I always enjoy reading the positives of the PlayBook.

This is great! I will be giving this a try very shorthly!
I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer for: I have an EPSON EX5200 projector that has both an HDMI and USB
inputs. I'm wondering if, using a wireless dongle of some sort, i could project my Playbook wirelessly directly to my projector,
therefore not needing the laptop. Has anyone tried this already?
Thank you
Philippe
Not with a dongle. You'd need something like this. Best Wireless HDMI Video Transmitter | The Wirecutter
Playbook doesn't have ability to wirelessly stream media to another device. This is why it doesn't work with Google Chromeast.
I use my chromecast with my Brookstone HDMI projector (hdmi and usb power from the projector) with my laptop to wirelessly stream video files. Makes for a fantastic wireless/portable projector solution for netflix and youtube, some local video if it will play in Chrome broser. Worked a lot better before Google stopped apps that allowed the playing of local files with their last update. Shame it doesn't work with playbook and likely never will.
