It's not just Pete. I can't figure out how to delete any of my own music either. So all is not lost. That being said.. Seriously.. how do you delete music?
I'm not sure if this thread is dead but i couldn't find one where someone successfully deleted this song. Using AIR Browser I was able to browse to the music file and delete the song. Hopefully this helps the next guy searching the forums.
Pete is in the same category as the HD video sample. It's in a folder protected by the OS that is automatically included when you bring up the music app (Pete) or video app (HD whales). These folders are not available to view in any of the file browsers.
People were complaining that after a wipe/restore of their Playbook, the HD video became unavailable. This is because the wipe removed the remnants of the original OS installation and the video was not part of the later updates. That's why they put a version of the video for download in the App Store.
I'm not sure if Pete is included in subsequent updates. If not, then a wipe is the only way to get rid of him. Otherwise, be prepared every time you set your music app to shuffle! :P

You don't. Pete Yorn deletes you, if he even notices you at all...
Go into file manager, click music then the little pencil icon, finally click the bin on the right next to the song. Unfortunately this does not work on the pictures, but it does work on the video.
On your PlayBook (Tap into the File Manager>(if connected to Smart phone click into the Playbook At the top if not connected dont worry about it>Tap into music>Tap the pencil edit Icon to the right>Then the bin icon next the the song you want gone). And it works EXACTLY the same for pictures.
