How far will 16 Gb's go? I'm interested in getting a playbook off amazon to replace my burned-out laptop and Saw that the 16 Gb model is the cheapest. So what can I do with that amount? I'll be downloading some games and apps, but thats about it besides browsing the internet and playing the downloaded games. how many games can it handle?

True. I didn't realize that they only go up in price by $50 increments. Thanks!

16 gb is more than enough for what i do with my PlayBook and I have Pacemaker with a hundred songs, Kindle with 5 books and a dozen games. I find I don't need a lot of space on my devices because I delete movies and TV shows after watching then and access most of my docs of the web.

Might be just me but that's the best feedback I can give you.

I got a 64GB when it first came out and i can tell you that i was down to about 10BG left. Most of it came from recording 720p videos, not even 1080p ones!!! i have over 1000+ pics as well. milage differs per user but 16GB would never be enough for me

16GB is plenty. Most apps and games take up hardly any space. Most of my apps average about 2MB in size---but Tetris uses 61MB and Modern Combat 2 HD is 400MB.

I have a 16GB Playbook, and I have yet to come close to exceeding it's storage capabilities. You can get the 16GB for $168.95 currently at geekdeal.

I guess it really all depends on what you want the PlayBook to do for you.

Just remember you can't upgrade the memory once you have it... So go big or go home

Seriously though... You can never go wrong with more memory.. If you choose to put some hd movies on your pb then 16 gb is definitely not going to be enough.

I gave my wife my 16gb cause she uses it for music, videos, email, and browsing and I picked up the 64 and never looked back. It's got 10gb free and 6 movies on the go.

Think about future proofing your device.

Listen, when you compare the price to the ipad.. At less than 2.5 times the cost the 64gb is a steal.

As already mentioned, it would really depend on what u will use it for. The 16GB model will be fine if you're not going to store big files on it or take many videos (though you can always transfer them to free up space).

I did at one point fill up my 16GB mainly due to taking lots of 1080p videos but have since transfered them so i have space again.

I got mine PB through the Dev offer before so really didnt have a choice, if I did then I would probably have gone for the 64GB model to store lots of videos.

    I feel ripped...

    I paid 220 for a 16Gb in June :s

    168 Dlrs is like 150 :O I got stollen ^^

Thats what happens when u live far away from techonology(Portugal)

At least we have great beaches ^^ eheh

No, but 16Gb is more than enough, and still u can install the BOX or Dropbox(sideload) app and access ur files online

    Unlimited space for only 168dlrs?

    Nice...

I went with the 32GB, as I knew that 16GB was going to be too little. Had the store I bought mine at been out of the 32GB and had the 64GB, I would have opted for it (This was last years a few months after the device came out and was priced similar to the iPad2.).

Hi, we have over 500 pictures, over 100 apps and several books on my 16G. Now, it is getting abit full but definitely usable. I just have to do some housecleaning on it occasionally.

16gb really is 11gb after the os.

I have about 20 apps on the tablet, no music or videos.

I mainly use it to surf the web.

I have about 9gb of space left on it.

16gb will go 1/2 as far as 32, and 1/4 as far as 64...

I have a 16 with about 13 games, a bunch of songs, a few vids, and a lot of pics. Still have 9gb free.

Your question reminds me of people who need to ask:

What size house should I buy> What size car should I buy? What size spouse should I marry? What IQ is high enough to do my own research before asking pointless questions that can only be answered dependent upon the use case(s) you envision for the product?

This is a chicken first or eggs first thing. If you only have 16G, then you only download stuff within that range,so you think it is enough. if you have 64G,you behave other way. but if the different is only 50 dollar, then certanly the more space the better
