I still use mine reasonably often. I like the larger screen, even though in every objective way my z30 is a much better, faster, more useable device.

I suppose if I'm honest about it, it's more that I don't have a pressing need to get a new tablet - it's sufficient for what I use it for. So generally that means light browsing, media consumption, Twitter via Willow, bridged BBM and text, and it is still very good for work presentations using remote control via Bridge. The most common use for it is as an ereader using the side loaded Kindle app though.

I am using it more and more daily and almost at a point it is possibly replacing my laptop and desktop for most things.

DocstoGo writer is sufficient for most things but I would like the spreadsheet to be better. I am learning to live with and getting around its limitations. Audio presented some challenges but finally got it sorted out and video does all I need. I do have the hdmi cable and send hd to the television.

Web surfing is not better or worse than most of my other computers. Pdf reader is rather good. Just getting into podcasts and figured out how to use the native app. There are many computer things K do not do such as post processing of photos and the like bit there are apps for it.

The mail, calendar and contact apps have some quirks but, they are better than many I have tried. I originally loaded a slew of apps but overall time found I used almost none. Yes, I would like Netflix but have alternatives I use provided I do not want the latest that generally I do not cafe about.

I used it to stream movies from a (illegal site) but the embedded video player won't pick up the sound anymore.

I wish they updated this thing.
Just maintenance updates would be nice.

I haven't had mine for too long and I'm already over it. The battery drains when it's not even in use. I've never dropped it, and now it won't even read my SIM card...so useless. Why am I paying $30 a month for a data plan I haven't been able to use in like 2 months is just plain stupidity on my part.

Currently using for ebooks, radio, movies and games on my 2hr+ commute each day from and to work.

I charge every 3 to 4 days, wifi is off and no sim so there's no battery drain.

Yeah, I mainly use during my commute as well. Ebooks and movies mainly. Maybe some forum stuff (but haven't used it for that in a while). I could bridge with my Z10 from work, but our data plans have been scaled back, so prefer not to connect to the net with it during the commute. Use wifi at home to read emails as well. Beyond that, mild web surfing over wifi and the odd game for my daughter. It does the basic things I need it to do, and I don't see the NEED to upgrade at the moment, though I kind of wish I had a different tablet.

That need point is so important. Yes there are better options out there, but if it suffices, then it suffices. I don't have a need to upgrade either, so it carries on.

    mostly media consumption.
videos, HD music via Neutron and as a nightstand clock and slide show picture frame (in charger base) when not in use.
still has one of the best speakers
I use to use it as a standalone desktop streaming sound system at work, but i don't stream anymore and if i do i just stream spotify from a laptop to a 32" TV/monitor on the otherside of my office.

Browsing on it such though unless you are just reading an ebook or something.
nice to multitask neutron tunes while reading a fee epub text at home.

All general personal stuff: email, web browsing, social media. The fact that BB have withdrawn support for the tablet really makes no difference to me for what I use it for, so it's still as relevant as any other tablet. I'll keep using it till it stops working, and hope that by that time BB will have decided to either reinstate support or released. new tablet.

I am not an app junkie, am not into a new app every 5 minutes, but 2 new ways (at least to me), that I am using my Playbook is with the HDMI cable to a 19" LCD TV, so my 7" screen becomes a 21" with my TV + magnifying reading glasses, now previously small text is perfectly legible, video looks great, use the 7" screen almost like a remote control. Also, just began exploring "AV by AOL" as a cross-platform video chat application, have begun a chat from the Playbook to my iMac 20" computer + vice versa, the connection is pretty flawless, there might be a 1/4sec. audio delay but not a factor. There might be, on occasion, some reverb on the Playbook but not on the iMac, must try earphones to see if that eliminates the reverb. These new revelations + all the excellent functionality that comes with the Playbook + the great screen, speakers, cameras, browser perfectly meets my requirements for a tablet.

The native email application is starting to let me down severely. Every week I need to recreate an app specific password for my yahoo and gmail accts. Can't determine why the email app forgets the password every 7-10 days.

I also used to love streaming sports from espn and nbc but now the login to the carrier doesn't work even with Origami. So while the speakers are good and I don't have issues with the battery or charging, it is becoming tedious to keep using it. My son has a new generation ipod that gets more out of the same apps.

Use android email, which is part of the playbook's android runtime, and you won't have that problem. It's also faster than Messages.

I have a 32 Gb Playbbok and I use it mainly for studying, reading .pdfs also Docs to Go, email, intensive info browsing, made pics and videos. Something exquisite is to listening lossless audio files with Neutron player... I love my Playbook because Its fits almost all my requirements.( almost because the disastrous missings of skype and mozilla's firefox).

Me, I use it for everything, reading, web browsing, etc but primarily for DLNA streaming video while I'm on the treadmill or the exercise bike.
I've honestly never used that feature. Could you elaborate? You stream from something to the playbook or stream the playbook to a bigger screen?

The former can be done, I think, using Kalemsoft Media Player, while the latter, I believe, is not possible on the Playbook. Anyhow, you don't need DLNA or Kalemsoft (a paid app) to stream media to your Playbook. There are other ways to do it.

Alarm clock; surfing, streaming video [Veetle], email, etc. at bedside. Haven't used HDMI in a while but I'm a bit of a tech geek and have at least 5 computers at home here not counting the Playbook, laptops or the smartphones so that's no surprise.

I just got mine on Friday but it did come with me to Vegas and I have to admit I am finding a surprising amount of utility in such an old device. It played movies for four hrs on the plane, surfed mucho Internet tethered to my z10 and took some decent plcs too.
