Did you try calling your PlayBooks with the Pin numbers? Or do they have to have different email addresses?
That's the only way for PB to call each with the same BBID. I go back and forth on both It's just keep calling and eventually fail.
This is how to get your PIN number:
1. Minimize crackberry.
2. Pull down on top of screen and go to about.
3. Push down arrow beside General.
4. Push on Hardware .
5. Your PIN number is the first line.
Hope this helps.
Forget the BBID, you call the devices Pin

I did. It dial for a long time and It just keep saying the contact is unavailable.
I'm think they need different email addresses. Plus, look at the email addresses installed for you video contacts they may be wrong and give you an error or contact is unavailable. For some reason when you add an email to your contacts it alphabetically attaches its self to you video contacts.
The PlayBook can call the z10, but not the other way around.

Maybe you should just clean your desk off. Holy christ.
Why didn't we think of that! :)
??????? The ipad was out long before the pb was even thought about.
Don't bother boys I just rang his pb and got the engaged tone?

it could have been set down anywhere - like most people, i walk around with it, so nothing to do with desk clean or no.
Come on Beaver, your telling us that you desk doesn't have a stack filing system. :)
Interesting issue. On the BB site/store, you get a prompt that says something like 'this is a different device - do you want it to have the same ID?' -- it seemed like a good idea at the time,so I said yes.
Hopefully using the pin number will enable the playbooks to communicate? Families would use this, so it has to be possible, even when you have told BB to use the same id?
I could assign different BBID for each playbook, except I do purchase quite a few apps on going basis and do not want to pay twice for the apps. I do not live in a big space, both my pb sitting side by site most days, there's very little chance I'll lose it at home. It's still nice to be able to call each other up base on PIN instead of BBID. This is why we need BBM on playbook.
I know your not a gamer so I would be interested if you've found any worthwhile apps.
Have you tried call your other PlayBook? I have personally set up my four PlayBooks up with different ID's just so not to have problems. I am interested in knowing if it works for you.
You are right, but I'm a hoarder. I collect apps and games and rarely uses them. Most of it was suggestions from this forum. Remembering the milk was a surprise for me because I thought it's only available for BB10. Audio Memos. Conqu is a decent task manager. Tablet TV the paid version is a hit and miss. There's a nice Photo Editor app. Otherwise it's pretty much redundancy of apps I got.
I haven't had a reason to try this until I misplaced one of two. As I said, most people who also have playbooks that I know are on this site. Is it possible to re-assign an id to one of them on the BB site, or is it truly possible to video chat between the 2 using the pins?
I use a couple of free photo apps for cropping:

I haven't tried any apps for watching tablet tv but just watching the free tv uploads sounds about the same as what you paid for - hit and miss.
Have you looked in the trash can?
I'm embarrassed to write this post, but I lost my playbook in my house too and can't find it. I'm reading here that you can call your playbook, but I see no detailed instructions on how to do it. Can someone please give me directions on how to call your playbook from your Z10? I also still have my 9900 if I need to use that instead. Thank you.:o
One reasonable suggestion I got was email yourself and listen for the ding - may take a few tries
I believe that you can only call each other when you are both on the same network when you have the same BBID on both devices.
I tried that with my Z10, but it didn't work. Would it work if I fire up and use the 9900?
