How do I upgrade to 2.0.
I just got my Blackberry Playbook 1.0.8.6067 32 gb two weeks ago. I am very new to this since this is my first mobile device!!!!!! I cannot find how to update it to 2.0. When I go to Software updates it says I have the latest software installed. Is it possible to update it to 2.0?

Update will be available in February sometime.

OS 2.0 has not been released for the PB yet. It is still technically in the beta/developers/testing stage so you can apply for the beta, but it is at your own risk, and RIM heavily warns that this is intended for developers.
the official OS 2.0 is expected to release sometime in February.

The version 2.0 you may see talked about here that people are running is a developer beta, and does not have the full functionality that you are seeing on the CES reports (ie no native email, calendar, etc. Just be patient it will be here soon:D

There is only a developer's beta available at this point. It doesn't have most of the cool features they are showing at CES, it is made for dev's to test their apps. It does have a few of the new features, but it has also been very unstable for some people. If you're comfortable with beta software and the risks involved, you can find the info here, but I would read carefully first.
The official OS2 will be released in February.

Since this is your first mobile device  (what about a cell phone), I highly recommend that you wait for the official OS2.0 to be released in FEB. From what has be advertised, it looks very promising :D

Welcome to the forum. You may want to browse around this forum before deciding to "upgrade" to the beta OS. There are lots of friendly people here who are ready and willing to help you out if you need assistance. Here is a thread that you may be particularly interested in scanning:

One big plus to them finally announcing the real OS 2.0 features: most regular users will suddenly realize there's far less of interest in the pseudo-2.0 that the beta has been. I think many can see there's really no point in installing it, given how close the full thing is now.

Thanks for the information.
