I had some androids applications side loaded onto my playbook, and accidentally deleted them using the normal (bin icon) method from the playbook screen.

I heard that side-loaded appear are not fully deleted but only the icon in removed when this is done. Is this correct?
If so can I renew the icon or reinstall this application if it is still on the playbook some where by going into the opsys through a shell?

I believe on PlayBook once apps are deleted they have been removed completely.

You can confirm by going in to Developmental mode and use the sideload tool of your choice to identify any remaining .bar files or converted .apk

Forgot to mention that you can also search through OS using the Ghost Commander app available for BlackBerry PB, but I don't think you will have much luck.

If you loaded them on using the come browser with the PlayBook extension you can delete them with the on there too....
