    The runtime on the PlayBook is very old and the permissions it has are quite limited.

    Even if you COULD install it (which you cannot), there would be no point. The OS on the Playbook cannot install apk files directly (the format of Android programs), as they have to be converted to a "bar" file and sideloaded. What this means is that even if you could get the playstore to install, you'd download something which is in a format which the Playbook cannot use. Unfortunately, you NEED to have a computer available to install a bar file.
