    I have obviously a playbook and an android phone (the HTC Amaze 4G) which has internet/data .... How can I connect the two so I can use the internet on my tablet lime I used to with my blackberry smartphone?

    assuming your carrier hasn't blocked it, turn your android phone into a wifi hotspot (in wireless settings) and your pb should pick it up. that's it, easy.

    In mobile crate hotspot, so that you can connect your playbook through wifi withut any problem. So many people here are using like this with android mobile. for more information check in mbile (system settings-->tethering&portable hotspot-->set up wi-fi hotspot), here you can mention network SSID: xyz, security type: WAPA2PSK, passord:12345678(any 8 digits), save then enable portable wifi hotspot by checking the box.
