As Shao128 mentionned in another thread:
Actually... PlayBook does run a webserver It runs bozohttpd.
Browsing the filesystem of my PB I've discovered it does exist a /usr/sbin/bozohttpd folder... Hence I guess a bozohttpd local webserver is preinstalled on the PB... But where to go from here?

I'm very interested to learn how to put this local webserver in practical use.

What are the requirements and the needed steps to do so

Maybe by using SSH (which by the way I've learned to use thanks to this great forum! )

My main purpose for having a local web server on the Playbook is to run offline local flash sites as demos for my customers.

For the moment, I'm facing some annoying limitations as my sites rely on flash ExternalInterface which cannot be run locally unless a local web server is set on the local machine.

Any hint will be greatly appreciated!

The bozotic web server named "bozohttpd is a small and secure http version 1.1 server. its main feature is the lack of features, reducing the code size and improving verifiability.

bozohttpd supports CGI/1.1, HTTP/1.1, HTTP/1.0, HTTP/0.9, user translations, virtual hosting support, as well as multiple IP-based servers on a single machine. it is capable of serving pages via the IPv6 protocol. it has ssl support. it has no configuration file by design. you can also read the manual page."

Thank you for your answer BB9700CA.

Actually, I've already been through the documentation before posting but what I need is more an "Howto" step by step guide to start bozohttpd local web server on the Playbook, given the fact I can SSH (as devuser) to /usr/sbin where bozohttpd is installed.

Does somebody have any clue about how to do this?

    Many thanks in advance
