    It is possible.
There is a build in "powerpoint" app. Docs to go i guess.

I can view + edit all of the powerpoints from university with it.
So yup it is possible to make a powerpoint presentation.

In reality it's easier to do it on a laptop and transfer it across to play it. You can do it through Docs To Go but it's a pain and limited.

Still true of all tablets let alone one as old as the Playbook.

The PlayBook DocsToGo app is pretty much basic (I was originally typed 'useless' but changed it to 'basic' because it does 'basic' anyway). Forget about animation! You can plug your PlayBook to a big screen such as projector using micro-HDMI to normal HDMI connection and play your presentation using DocsToGo app... and yeah, good luck...

(Note: There is a difference between 'micro' and 'mini' HDMI other than spelling)

For actual presentations, use Docs to Go. The one major advantage of the native app is that it supports "presentation mode", so what appears on the big screen is not what shows on your Playbook. Thus, you can have notes associated with the presentation that will show on your Playbook but not on the big screen.
