The trial version OS2.0.1 and BlackBerry PlayBook 3G - 4G appeared in a number of large networks in the world.
Some of the RIM network partners in the United States and internationally has been tested with 3G and 4G PlayBook OS 2.0.1. This is quite correct to look at the evolution of RIM this year. Below is a list of networks and countries where they currently are testing the devices. The news mentioned that RIM plans to launch on May 05, all may appear within the BlackBerry World 2012 conference to come.
They really can't go wrong with the Playbook. It's such sweet hardware and magnificent UI. If the carriers can't help get more high profile apps onto the system, the sky is the limit for how high the PB can go.
Unfortunately, I suspect this will be another disaster. RIM should focus on BB10 phones first and then release an updated Playbook 2 with specs from 2012, not 2010.
I find this an important step; it shows that BB10 is really feasible now that they are producing Playbooks with Cellular capability and possibly with BBM. We do know is that the PB OS will eventually evolve into BB10

I think RIM has the right step in the current period. There are still very many people have been using blackberry, Playbook. I'm not sure Playbook will use 3G, 4G or not. . But I'm still interested in RIM
Hopefully this is true and hopefully there will be a marketing strategy that shows all of the awesome capabilities of this little tablet.
I'm not getting one because I love my Playbook now and bridge is good enough between wifi spots (home, work or coffee shops) but it will open it up for others.
RIM should be prepared for a super strong marketing campaign against them with a marketing campaign that gets the word out.
This makes sense. It should give RIM more of a test bed with the Playbook on 3g/4g for the upcoming BB10 devices. Also, with carrier support there could be many goodies attached, to include some carrier apps and if RIM is handles this well with some awesome ones for BB10.
Looks good to me. Hey, maybe I'll get one just for the heck of it after all. Especially if they come with some unique goodies from the carriers.
I never knew that Verizon tested devices in Brazil and Australia, nor did I know that RIM was a carrier in the US. Anonymous tipster reports gibberish and people here go wild....

They need to beta test BB10 3/4G function. That's all.
They updated the manuals and it says tablet OS 2.1 so this is surely an indication that a update is coming soon but the question is...Did they mess up with a typo on the manual or is the update going to be a 2.1?
