Like many (maaaaannnnyyyy) PlayBook users, I have been having problems backing up. After I side-loaded some apps I wasn't able to back up my PlayBook. Today I decided to give it a try as OS2 is out, and VOILA! I SUCCESSFULLY BACKED UP MY PLAYBOOK!

I have not deleted any of the apps I had with the previous OS and I have not done a security wipe, so I will go ahead and say it: OS2 (coupled with DM7) fixed my back up issues.

For the ladies and gents who have been having problems backing up (F2 and others), give it a try guys and see if you are now able to.

After having tried every hint on backups from the forums since September, finally was able to back up today for the first time. OS2, if nothing else, was useful for something.

Only had trouble backing up when I upgraded to DM 7.
So I downgraded and no more problems.

I never had problems backing-up with DM (both for my BB and PB), albeit I haven't downloaded the new DM.

Will give it a try specially now that I have OS2.0 installed.

I tried earlier today with DM 7 and os2 and unfortunately I am still getting the backup failed issue... I was chalking it up to all the hullabaloo about dm7 but I guess I am still going to have to live without backing up...
Unless someone has any suggestions

The onlything it didn't restore was the android side loaded apps

Wooohooo!!!!! Finally, I got my PB on 12/19 and it backed up fine for about 3 weeks then my applications wouldn't back up, now all is good!

did my first back up today with the new system, it was about 2gb. never used to work with the old one, always kept getting error messages half way through....

i'm happy that i was finally able to back it up... yeah!!! :-)

I did my first backup tonight as well! I have an iMac and with DM v2.3 and OS2 no problems. Am I happy?

Try a custom backup up of application and settings first and then attempt full back up,I had this issue but this way seemed to solve it.

I had the same backup problem with the old OS. I had read on the CB forum that by not backing up the apps the backup would work. It worked for me - twice - and then stopped working. Just completed my first full backup EVER after upgrading the OS last week! Thank you!

I was able to back up before os 2update but right after the new dm 7, which has sync issues. I kept it since I don't use sync and have no issues.
