Does anyone know if there is a way to remove Bridge profiles/ hide blackberry bridge icons? I borrowed a friend's bb to use bridge but now i dont use bridge anymore - is there a way to remove the icons/ tabs

You should be able to remove his profile.
Go to settings, Bluetooth, delete all profiles.
Then select Bridge and also delete all profiles.
At that point his icons should not appear anymore.

You can delete a profile but you can't delete the bridge icons.
